A good evening to you all good people. I hope that your week is fairing on well so far. I cannot complain at all, in fact, I couldn’t be more thankful. So this post was supposed to be up on Monday but couldn’t quite get to it.
If I’m being honest, this was actually my favorite piece from the collection I worked on. I aimed for a different and vibrant color which settled to this beautiful orange that I used on the previous posts’ dress. I cannot explain the depth of just how much I love this coffee brown Ankara, So much so, I almost didn’t use it, just so I could continue my life knowing I could look at it whenever I pleased as my personal treasure.
So many times I opted out of using it on projects but this time, I felt this design would do it justice. I loved every bit of designing this and trust me, I didn’t have to sketch it to know how I wanted this asymmetrical look. Looking at it on the rack just makes me so happy, and currently, I am all about things that bring me joy, because from such do we get true fulfillment and validation of life.
Ruffles have been in for the longest time now. I don’t think I owned any ruffled outfit before. But I’ve always admired them and knew I had to eventually make one, and what perfect timing this was. I went with one of my favorite hairstyles and knew this favorite pair of shoes would complete the look.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below and how you think you’d rock this dress.
Sending you warm hugs and kisses.
