Hello Lovely People, I sure hope you’ve all been keeping well. I know it’s been so long since I posted and truth is, nothing was pin-pointedly wrong. I just felt like I needed some time off from blogging and the internet for a while.
I remember how gradually comfortable I got in taking time off without feeling guilty. I just needed some time to regroup and have a breather with everything creative. That down-time was much needed and not only was my evaluation with life in general abit clearer, I got to find the kick I needed to get back to the things that I love.
As some of you may know, I created this blog with the notion of sharing not only my style but outfits that I create myself. My clotheline has been on that pause button for the longest time and though I’ve had contracts that have kept me busy through out the hiatus time, creating new pieces has been somewhat a challenge for me since we started the year.
For some reason, no matter what I did, I couldn’t quite find the joy I initially had in waking up early to create new pieces. That was a MAJOR creatives' block for me. In fact, I think It’s among the longest I’ve had since I started this journey.
That said and done, I am at peace now knowing that whatever I do here is an expression of not only who I am, but what brings me joy. That break gave me a chance to work on a few pieces, a few of which I might share with you but aside everything, looking at them made me realize why it’s my escape place.
This series will start with my very favorite piece that made me feel so elegant and polished. I wanted very minimal accessories and that’s why I settled for my favorite earrings to let the gown bask in the glory it so deserves.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below and let’s get chatting. Sending you loads of love and wishing you a great week ahead.
